What is the Book of Ages?

The Book of Ages is a database by Jellyneo that contains information on the vast amount of characters in Neopia. There are so many villains, heros, Neopets, and Petpets, that we'll be constantly updating and adding to our records.

What types of characters appear in the Book of Ages?

Any named character on the site has an entry, though we don't include background characters. For example those that appear as extras in the background of plot comics. We also do not include any user made characters, such as those in Neopian Times or Storytelling entries.

How do I search for characters?

To begin a search, click on the Database icon at the top of the page. You'll come to a page listing the first 36 characters in alphabetical order. To search by name, look above this, and type a name into the search box. You can also select a species to view by typing the name of the species into the search box. Alternately you can do an advanced search here.

What are Character Hubs?

Hubs are our way of grouping together related characters. The cast of plots, for example, or characters who all play in the same Yooyuball team. You can view the complete list of Hubs by clicking the link under the search box on the Database page. A hub will also appear in any search results it might relate to, so if you are looking for a specific plot you can find it through the search box.

I don't know the name/species of the character I am looking for!

You're in luck! Using the advanced search feature, you'll find a list of every major location in Neopia. This list will sort Neopets according to the land they are from, or appear most frequently in.

I know of a character you've forgotten!

If you notice someone we've missed, and have double checked that they are in fact missing, use the Contact Page to let us know (Select "Character Suggestion" from the drop down). Please bear in mind that characters in the Book of Ages are listed by their full name, but are often refered to by a different name or title elsewhere on the Neopets site. It's a good idea to check through the species/world listing of the character you think is missing, as well as any related Hubs, before submitting a Character Suggestion.

I've found an error with a character in the Book of Ages!

If you've noticed something we have in the Book of Ages which is wrong or incomplete, you can inform us of it by using the Contact Page (Select "Error" from the drop down). Again, please make sure to double check both your source and the Book of Ages before sending in feedback.

Why does the character I'm looking at have a question mark as their picture?

Quite a few characters in Neopia have never appeared in images. The question mark is there to indicate that we don't currently know of any pictures showing the character. If you find a relevant picture, please tell us using the Contant Form and we'll set it right as soon as possible.
