This giant creature guards the portal in the heart of the lost city of Phorofor, Meridell. A different version of the monster, known as a Mutant Sand Grundo, patrolled the Temple of the Sky in the Lost Desert.
As most of Neoquest II takes place inside a computer simulation, it is unclear if Phorofor or the Giant Sand Grundo exist in the real Neopia.
