In 2006, Tollet was a forward in Team Maraqua. She grew sick of playing in Elon Hughlis's shadow, and switched to Roo Island for the 2007 season, playing in the same position. While playing for Maraqua, she looked like this:
I knew I was singlehandedly losing the game for us, yet there was nothing I could do. It was the worst thing I've ever been through as a player...and then, it just suddenly went away.
What I’ve always loved about this team is how much fun we have when we’re together. It’s really contributed to the way we play Yooyuball, and I’d say it’s helped us with many of our wins. Recently though, we’ve been letting things get out of hand, and it’s definitely been affecting our performance. We need to regain that balance of hard work and play once again.
I’m fine.
I know. I know. But this is important. It was a lot of work to put these matches together—I’m not letting them down.
And let you be a player short? No way. I still really want to play… I just gotta make it to the Cup.
You think… that’d be safe?
Jair participated as a member of the Maraqua Yooyuball team in 2006 and as a member of the Roo Island Yooyuball team from 2007 to 2024.
