Maraqua is a Yooyuball team dominated by their Captain, who refuses to let other players score goals. The situation is so bad that at least one former member of the team left to get out of his shadow. In 2016, there were fears that the lack of any female representation on the team was hurting their efforts.
During 2024, the team volunteered to help clean up litter in the Maraquan Circle, notably t-shirts launched from orbit by Team Kreludor.
Team Maraqua participated in the Altador Cup from 2006 to 2024.
