Despite being respected as a tough old coat, unfortunately the Captain isn't much of an eater, unless there's a slice or two of Pizza involved. He was once shipwrecked for two days, and almost eaten by a Jetsam. However, he hit the Jetsam on the nose, and it swam away from him.
