Rutu was a botanist who was part of the group selected to hide the Clockwork Negg and the decoy Neggs. She wanted to take a Negg to Shenkuu, having wanted to go there her whole life. Eventually it was decided that she would take the Clockwork Negg, and kept a journal of the meetings the group had. She kept the Negg safe in Shenkuu, her skeleton remaining in the cave.
