Gnarfas is completely uncontrollable, even by the Werelupe King himself. He is kept locked underground except for the rare occasion when he is allowed to come out and 'play'. In the Darkest Faerie game, the Werelupe King set Gnarfas on Tor in Illusen's Glade. With the help of a disguised King Altador, Tor defeated the monster.
