Sam is friends with Starie, Benny, and Gimly. Together, they decided to visit the Brain Tree in the Haunted Woods, and learn from him. Unfortunately, they did so at Halloween, and got caught in the Woods after dark. Ghosts, ghouls, and lost Faeries attempted to drain their life in the hopes of escaping the woods, but the Brain Tree helped them escape.
