Cursed by her prophetic nightmares, Caylis was banished from Maraqua as the Maraquans feared her and her mysterious powers.
She was jealous of her sister, Isca, who was able to gain the good side of the king with her own auspicious predictions. After Caylis helped to defend Maraqua from the pirate invaders she seems to have gained a softer heart. However, Caylis decided to continue living outside the Maraquan city.
Nothing has been seen of her since, but sometimes when the sea is quiet you can hear her mournful sobbing from far away.
Neither did I ask for my nightmares. They horrify me in my sleep, and my waking hours are filled with loneliness.
I have something more powerful than that sword.
I know what life is like in the city and it is not for me. You simply don't understand. I couldn't belong here.
