Before customisation hit Neopia in 2007, the look of Neopets changed every few years to give them a fresher look. Below, you can browse through the versions of each species, some having more than others.

Like other Neopets, the original Usul's body fur changed when it was painted different colours. Later versions of the Usul had their neck ruff change instead.
The Usul was later redrawn and given a more human-shaped face, but it did get to keep its tail bow and ear ties.
