January

• 29th - At long last, The Return of Dr. Sloth Plot debuts to much fanfare and excitement
• 29th - The Virtupets Space Station Map is revamped

February

• 6th - The colour Checkered is announced for Petpets with the release of the Checkered Petpet Paint Brush
• 6th - You can now collect Key Quest tokens and place them in your Collector's Case

March

• 1st - The second annual Daily Dare begins
• 15th - The Return of Dr. Sloth Plot officially concludes
• 15th - The colour Purple is revamped to omit the orange spots as part of the Return of Dr. Sloth Plot's conclusion
• 18th - The Daily Puzzle and Random Poll are temporarily removed from the site
• 22nd - The Return of Dr. Sloth Plot statistics are released
• 31st - The Daily Dare comes to an end

April

• 1st - The Return of Dr. Sloth Plot Prize Shop opens
• 16th - The prizes for March's Daily Dare are released
• 19th - The Quick Ref page is revamped
• 29th - The Neopian Pound is re-opened after being closed for a year and a day for updates

• 30th - Techo Says is brought back as the 1000th game to be released

• 13th - Altador Cup III sign-ups begin
• 18th - Altador Cup III begins

• 16th - The NC Mall celebrates its first birthday
• 17th - The Altador Cup III Finals begin with Roo Island, Krawk Island, Lost Desert and Shenkuu battling it out for the Cup
• 22th - Roo Island wins the Altador Cup and the Prize Shop opens
• 29th - Key Quest enters beta testing

• 14th - Classic Neohomes are no longer eligible for the Neohome Spotlight
• 28th - The Petpet Park Celebration on Neopets is launched with information about the upcoming Petpet Park, how-to-draws, games, and more

September

• 4th - Operation: Petpet Park debuts
• 23rd - Userlookup shields are updated to include shields for accounts 6+ years old

October

• 2nd - The Login page is revamped
• 2nd - An "exchange" feature is added to the Neopian Pound's transfer system
• 18th - Key Quest is launched
• 28th - The last mission of Operation: Petpet Park officially concludes and prizes become available.
• 31st - Trick or Treating returns across Neopia.

November

• 1st - The Notable Neohome feature is added to the homepage to spotlight Neohome Spotlight entries
• 21st - The Haunted Woods Map and the Deserted Fairground Map are revamped
• 31st - The Neopets Puzzle Adventure video game is released, just in time for the Christmas shopping season.
• 26th - The third annual Games Master Challenge begins
• 26th - You can now gift Neocash items using NC Gift Boxes
