January

• 4th - The colour Eventide is announced with the release of the Paint Brush
• 5th - The Lenny Conundrum prize pool permanently doubles to 4 million NP
• 11th - Voting begins for the fourth annual Neopies Awards
• 27th - The 8-Bit Power-Up Potion is released, meaning that 8-Bit is no longer a Lab-only colour

February

• 8th - Faerie Quests once again become a daily activity for the month of February
• 24th - The daily Faerie Quests end and quests return to being offered randomly

March

• 1st - The Games Room is revamped
• 8th - The sixth annual Daily Dare and the fourth annual NC Mall Daily Dare Challenge begin
• 10th - Purple bugs begin appearing in the Games Room and on Roo Island
• 10th - King Roo disappears
• 23rd - Neopians successfully find King Roo
• 27th - Daily Dare ends
• 27th - The Roo Island Maps are revamped
• 30th - The colour Water is announced for Petpets with the release of the Water Petpet Paint Brush

April

• 3rd - The third annual Festival of Neggs site event begins
• 24th - The Festival of Neggs ends

May

• 8th - The colour Elderly (available in Boy and Girl styles) is announced with the release of the Paint Brush
• 25th - The Altador Cup VI Prize Shop closes
• 26th - Altador Cup VII sign-ups begin

June

• 2nd - Altador Cup VII begins
• 5th - The Altador Cup VII Staff Tournament begins
• 12th - Neopets Premium is revamped, and users are granted the ability to have five Neopets on their account
• 24th - The Altador Cup VII Finals begin, with Darigan Citadel, Kreludor, Meridell and Mystery Island battling it out for the Cup
• 27th - The colour Eventide is announced for Petpets with the release of the Eventide Petpet Paint Brush
• 28th - Kreludor wins the Altador Cup. The Staff Tournament Prize Shop also opens
• 29th - The Altador Cup VII Prize Shop opens

• 3rd - The Community page is released, containing links to Spotlights, the Editorial, the Calendar, and the Neoboards
• 25th - A new feature called Certified Fan Sites is announced, and applications open up
• 25th - Jellyneo and Dr. Sloth's Neopets Image Emporium are announced as two of the first Certified Fan Sites

August

• 1st - The fourth NC Mall exclusive game, Secret Meepit 'Stache, is released
• 8th - The colour Stealthy is announced with the release of the Paint Brush
• 28th - A new daily, the Mysterious Negg Cave, opens up in Shenkuu

September

• 25th - The colour Dimensional is announced with the release of the Paint Brush

October

• 5th - TNT announces that the Battledome will soon close permanently, to allow for renovations to occur
• 5th - Sign-ups begin for the beta testing of the new Battledome
• 17th - The old Battledome officially closes
• 26th - The Masks of Dread event begins as part of this year's Haunted Faire
• 27th - The new Battledome enters closed beta testing.
• 31st - Trick or Treating returns across Neopia.

November

• 4th - The Masks of Dread event ends, as does this year's Haunted Faire
• 9th - The new Battledome enters open beta testing
• 20th - The seventh annual Games Master Challenge begins
• 29th - The Games Master Challenge ends

December

• 1st - A new feature is added to the Advent Calendar - snowflakes will be hidden in each day's animation and reward a special prize if discovered
