• 6th - A new pet, the "Gnorbu", is introduced to the site
• 17th - The Neopets Toolbar is released and available to download

• 30th - The Lost Desert Plot Prize Shop opens

February

• 8th - The colour Biscuit is announced with the release of the Paint Brush
• 8th - You can now add a PIN number to protect your account
• 17th - The colour Pepper is announced for the Chia with the release of the Pepper Chia Pop

March

• 1st - Altador is discovered through a portal in Faerie City
• 14th - The Wand of Wishing PS2 game is released
• 28th - The Halls of Heroes opens in Altador and the Altador Mini-Plot debuts

• 6th - The Jubjub is revamped
• 9th - Altador Cup I begins
• 10th - The Altador Cup I Staff Tournament begins
• 28th - Lutari Island is released as part of Neopets Mobile
• 30th - The Altador Cup I Finals begin with the Haunted Woods and Darigan Citadel battling it out for the Cup
